Hi Spring fans! Welcome to another installment of This Week in Spring. Today I'm in beautiful Tampla, Fl, where I got to talk to a wonderful Pivotal customer today. Now I'm at TPA airport preparing to board for Paris, France, for JHipsterConf.
We've got a ton to cover so let's get to it!
- I just want to remind people that the majority of the Spring team is sponsored by the company Pivotal, an open-source powerhouse that sponsors among other things Spring, Cloud Foundry, a Kubernetes distribution, RabbitMQ, Jasmine, Apache Geode, Apache Tomcat, and a ton of other things. We've also got a deep bench in building software development tools including things like Pivotal Tracker. Want to learn more?

- This is pretty interesting: it's a sample demonstrating Atomikos' Logcloud integration with the Spring Boot Atomikos JTA starter. It's a project showing how easy it is to do XA with clustered, cloud-native transaction logging and recovery.
- Wow! I can't believe I almost missed this one. It's an awesome post by Jagdish Mirani on using Spring for Apache Geode. Apache Geode is a distributed data-grid sort of like Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, etc. It is the open-source distribution of what we sell as Pivotal Gemfire. It's also got every thing you could want: distribution, high speed replication, continuous queries, WAN gateways, etc.
