Following the recent 3.0.0.RELEASE, we are pleased to announce that the second (first public) milestone of Spring Integration 4.0 is now available.

As mentioned in the 3.0 Release Candidate Announcement the recent Spring Integration 3.0 release is fully compatible with Spring Framework 4.0, but it does not use the spring-messaging module. This allows Spring Integration 3.0 to be used with earlier versions of Spring Framework.

The 4.0 stream from which this milestone is built replaces all the core Spring Integration messaging abstractions with those in the spring-messaging module. The reason for another major release so soon after 3.0 is based on the fact that existing applications that directly use the affected SI classes in their code will need to convert to the Spring Framework abstractions. For the most part, this just means package changes in import statements, but full details are provided in the Migration Guide…

I am happy to announce the first milestone release 3.5.0.M1 of the Spring Tool Suite (STS) and the Groovy/Grails Tool Suite (GGTS).

Highlights from this milestone build include:

• improved new dashboard (news feeds are back)

• support for Groovy 2.2
• updated to Grails 2.3.4

The Spring Data team has just released the second service release for the Babbage release train. It includes the following modules:

• Spring Data MongoDB 1.3.3 - Changelog - JavaDoc - Artifacts
• Spring Data Neo4j 2.3.3 - Changelog - JavaDoc - Artifacts

The release bundles a bunch of important enhancements and bug fixes and is a recommended upgrade. You can find all issues fixed in this release in our JIRA.

Spring 4.0 RC2 has been released and is now available from the SpringSource repository.

This will be the final release candidate before GA, so please give it a try and let us know if you find any issues.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Spring Integration 3.0.0.RC1 is now available in the Spring Milestone Repo

This release uses Spring Framework 3.2.5 by default but is also compatible with Spring 3.1.x and 4.0.x.

Spring Framework 4.0 has a new spring-messaging module that contains a number of key abstractions from Spring Integration.

Spring Integration 3, while being compatible with Spring Framework 4, does not depend on it, and does not use these classes, so that it can also be used with Spring Framework 3.2 and 3.1.

We are pleased to announce that Spring Batch 2.2.3.RELEASE is now available via Maven Central, Github and the SpringSource download repository. This is the 3rd maintenance release for the 2.2.x branch of Spring Batch and addresses a number of bugs and documentation updates.
